How can I lock my system?

I am administrator in my computer. it has a password also but turn on time, restarting time it’s not asking password. It’s directly on. If I log off (Windows + L) my pc that time it’s locked only. What is the solution?

The possible reason, I think, is that you enable the auto-login feature in your Windows operating system. All you need is to disable the auto login. That’s very easy! Just follow the steps below if you are  a Windows 7 user (Similar steps for Windows Vista and Windows XP users):

Step 1. Click the Start button and enter “netplwiz” (without quotation mark) in the text box and press Enter.

Step 2. The ‘User Accounts’ dialog will open, and you’ll find the box in front of Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer’ is unchecked if the auto login is enabled. If so, just check and your computer will not log into your computer automatically.

Step 3. Click OK to finish your operations.
Now your computer will ask you’re the Windows administrator password whenever you log into it.

Tip: Please make a windows 7 password recovery USB in advance by taking the advance of the built-in Create password reset disk feature in Windows 7 to avoid problems like Windows 7 forgot password. To do it, just go to Start -> Control Panel -> Family Safety and User Accounts -> User Accounts. On the User Accounts window, click Create a password reset disk in left pane and follow the coming wizard.
