What to do if I forgot admin password on Mac? I was fiddling with the password thing but
I don’t recall saving the changes or setting up a password.
When you forgot Windows password, you can take advantage of your Windows installation disk to bypass it. It also works when you forgot admin password on Mac.
Step 1. Insert your Mac OS X installer disk in your computer, and holding the C key to boot Mac from the disk.
Step 2. On the Installer window appears, go to Utilities” menu -> select your language preference -> select “Reset Password”.
Step 3. On the password reset window, select the hard disk that contains the forgotten password, then select the administrator account you’ve forgotten password for, and then enter the new password for the user account. Here you can type a password hint.
